How the check works and what happens to your CV.
- It reads your CV the way three audiences do. For recruiters, it checks that your role, summary and experience are quick to understand. For hiring systems, it checks your contact details, dates, section headings and links. For AI tools, it checks that your skills are listed and backed up by your experience. You get a score out of 100 and a short list of what to fix.
- This version does not look at page layout or columns, fonts and sizes, colour contrast, scanned or image-only pages, spelling, or how well your CV fits a specific job. Your report lists these under "About these checks" as not checked, and they never count as passes.
- Your file is kept for 24 hours, only so you can carry it into Tabbio if you sign up. Your report is kept for 30 days so its link keeps working, and it holds short excerpts of your CV, not the whole file. Neither is ever published, and nobody can open your report unless you share its link.
- Yes. The check and the full report are free and need no account. For some findings Tabbio drafts a suggested rewrite: you see the first one in full here, and the rest in Tabbio, which you can start using for free.
- Choose "Fix it in Tabbio, free" and create your account. Tabbio imports the CV you just checked and checks it again during setup, so your report is waiting for you. You then review each suggested change and save only the ones you want.
